DIABLO II: RESURRECTED

Class build guides

Explore popular builds for each class, including stat and skill allocations and equipment.

Wind

This build answers immunities with Tornado's physical damage and Hurricane's cold damage. Summons and Cyclone Armor support close-range casting, but aiming Tornado takes practice. Movement and regrouping summons are slow before Enigma.

Strength

Do not rely on an item's own Strength to equip it initially, and meet requirements on swap too. Invest only the shortfall after accounting for Enigma and your confirmed charm bonuses. B also uses Spirit Monarch when complete; start with Ancient's Pledge before obtaining it. Meet Sandstorm Trek's 91 Strength requirement before its own bonus. With Jalal's Mane, meet 65 Strength before its own +20 Strength.

Dexterity

Do not spend additional points to reach 75% shield block. A's Flail requires 35 Dexterity; B's Crystal Sword has no Dexterity requirement. Recheck weapon requirements when changing equipment.

Vitality

Fight behind your mercenary and summons, investing remaining attributes in life. B follows the same principle.

Energy

Use mana potions and Mana after each Kill early on. After switching to A without Insight, keep carrying mana potions. Spell damage cannot steal mana.

Developing an Insight mercenary

Upgrade the Insight mercenary to an ethereal elite polearm to improve first-kill damage. Use Ral in Andariel's Visage to offset its -30 fire resistance; Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest can be equipped from level 66. A: when switching to another weapon, prioritize retaining its aura or enemy resistance reduction.

Charge management

Monitor Teleport charges and repair gold. You lose shield resistances while holding the staff, so do not land in the middle of enemies.

Upgrade order

  1. Secure mana and damage with an Insight mercenary and +skills gear
  2. Reach 99% FCR with Spirit Monarch, gloves and a ring
  3. Add resistances and skills with Heart of the Oak and Jalal's Mane
  4. Obtain Arachnid Mesh before switching to Enigma
  5. Add Call to Arms, Hellfire Torch and Elemental skill charms

Playstyle

Preparing to farm

A: cast Battle Command, switch to primary gear and summon Oak Sage, wolves and bear, then cast Battle Orders. Activate Cyclone Armor and Hurricane. Reapply Battle Orders after summoning replacements. B: prepare summons and defensive spells without warcries.

Ordinary packs

Place the bear in front and repeatedly cast Tornado along the enemies' approach. If it misses, step sideways to change its path.

Bosses

Once the mercenary and bear engage, concentrate Tornado at short range. Check Cyclone Armor and the sage after a boss's area attack.

Handling immunes

Use Tornado against cold immunes. A handles physical immunes with The Reaper's Toll's Decrepify and Hurricane. B has no Decrepify on its Insight mercenary, so use Hurricane's cold damage. Against physical/cold dual immunes, A should bypass them if Decrepify does not break physical immunity; B skips them.

B Farming areas

Start with Nightmare Baal and safe sections of the Hell Pit. Doors and narrow passages obstruct Tornado's path; pull one pack outside at a time.

Transition requirements

Prepare Tornado, Hurricane and Insight's mana support at level 30 or higher. Enter Hell after reaching 99% FCR and sufficient fire/lightning resistances.

Mechanics and notes

Patch 3.3 · Ladder 15 · 2026-09-28

Two damage types

Tornado deals physical damage and Hurricane deals cold damage. Reducing enemy cold resistance does not increase Tornado damage.

99% Faster Cast Rate breakpoint

A human-form Druid reaches 11 frames at 99% FCR. A 40+35+20+20=115%, B keeps that breakpoint with a minimum of 25+25+30+20+10=110%.

Cyclone Armor's limits

This separate shield absorbs fire, cold and lightning, but not physical or poison damage. Recast it during combat when its absorption is exhausted.

Strengths, limitations and farming style

Strengths

Physical and cold damage make immunities easier to handle.

Summons and Cyclone Armor protect close-range casting.

Limitations

Aiming Tornado takes practice.

Movement and regrouping summons are slow before Enigma.

Additional variants

163% FCR

A separate high-end setup combines a 20% FCR helm, an amulet with at least 18% FCR, FCR rings and other gear. Do not expect the same speed after only partially changing the 99% base setup. Keep the skill allocation.

Safety-first sage

Keep Oak Sage. Heart of Wolverine does not increase Tornado's spell damage and does not replace it in this build.
